Privacy Policy
Your recordings never leave your device, and there is no account. The app counts anonymous usage events so we can see how it is used and make it better. Those events never include your audio, your video, or anything that identifies you.
Your audio and video
All noise removal happens on your iPhone, using a model that ships inside the app. Files you open, record or save are read and written on your device only. Your audio and video are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and noise removal works with no network connection at all.
Temporary copies made while a file is processed are written to the app's own storage and removed by the system. Saving or sharing a result is always something you start, and it goes wherever you choose to send it.
Permissions the app asks for
Microphone: only if you record inside the app. Camera: only if you record video inside the app. Photos: to let you pick a video to clean up, and to save a result back if you ask for that.
Each permission is requested the first time you use the feature, and you can turn it off later in iOS Settings. Declining one only disables that feature.
Analytics in the app
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count anonymous usage events, for example that a file was opened, a preview was played, the upgrade screen was shown, or a file was saved. With each event it records coarse details such as the type of file (audio or video), the clip length in whole seconds and the strength chosen. It never records file names, file contents, your audio or video, or your location.
Events are linked to a random identifier that Firebase creates for this installation of the app. It is not linked to your name, your email or your Apple Account, and it is replaced if you delete and reinstall the app. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted. Google processes it under its own policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Tracking and advertising
There is none. The app does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, shows no ads and never asks for tracking permission. Ad personalization is turned off, and analytics data is not shared with Google for advertising.
Purchases
Buying Pro is handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. To keep track of whether a purchase is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which processes the receipt Apple issues and a randomly generated identifier for your installation. That identifier is not linked to your name, your email or your Apple Account, and no audio or video is ever involved.
RevenueCat also receives the Firebase installation identifier described above and passes purchase events (a purchase, a renewal or a refund) to Google Analytics for Firebase, so purchases can be counted together with app usage. If you arrived from an Apple Search Ads campaign, RevenueCat receives the campaign attribution Apple provides. This does not require tracking permission and does not identify you. RevenueCat's policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
This website
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and clicks on the App Store button. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it only does so after you accept the cookie banner. It does not use advertising cookies. The decibel meter tool uses your microphone only inside your browser while it is open. Nothing it hears is recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
Children
The app is rated 4+. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the anonymous usage events described above contain nothing that identifies a child.
Your rights
Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to see, correct or delete the personal data a company holds about you. Usage events are anonymous and not linked to you, so there is nothing we can look up by your name or email. Deleting the app removes its installation identifiers and everything it stored on your device. If you have a question about your data, write to us and we will help.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date. Questions: [email protected].
